In 1937, the Piper Aircraft Corporation was established in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. There, William T. Piper laid the foundation for his now famous line of aircraft. Soon the clouds of World War II began to form, and Piper Aircraft began manufacturing large numbers of tube and fabric trainers for the military. In 1984, Piper Aircraft Corp. closed the doors to the Lock Haven, Pennsylvania factory. The rest is, well as they say, history!
