Reading

Reading is located in Berks County (of which it is the county seat) northeast of Philadelphia along Highway 422 on the banks of the Schuylkill River near Blue Marsh Lake. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 74,762, a decrease of 3,618 since 1990.
