The Mountain Playhouse is Pennsylvania's oldest professional stock theater and only one of eleven professional summer stock theaters remaining in the United States today. Each summer, it produces eight exciting shows ranging from the best of American musical theater to slapstick farcical comedies. Performances run two to three weeks each with 6-8 shows per week. As part of the regular season, Theater Classics for Students, the not-for-profit educational arm of the Playhouse produces one show devoted to classical, educational theater.
