The Americana Museum of Bird-in-Hand

Take a nostalgic walk through small town America at the dawn of the 20th century. Visit a barber shop, millinery, woodworking shop, tea parlor, toy store, print shop, blacksmith shop, tobacco shop, apothecary, wheelwright/wainwright shop, and a country general store -the "heart of Americana." Discover the past circa 1890-1930. Self-guided tours are offered throughout the day. Retirement communities, day camps, churches, families, schools, and other groups are invited to schedule guided tours. Tours last 45-60 minutes. Teachers: Request a packet of pre and post tour educational activities, which can easily be integrated into your curriculum.
