Off Rte. 1 at Orwell. This National Historic site is the 140 acre homestead of doctor, writer, teacher, soldier Sir Andrew Macphail. It has been restored to its 1912 appearance and features several unique events including the Thursday Community Scoff and House Party. The award-winning Macphail Woods Ecological Forestry Project offers extensive birding, botany and nature trail walking opportunities. Fully licensed restaurant/craft shop is open for lunch and most dinners. Open daily Late June to early Sept.
