Purchased in 1920 from the Norwich Trolley Company by Julia and Harry Tefes, Atlantic Beach is privately owned and is still operated by members of the Tefes family that purchased the parcel of land almost a century ago.

The Atlantic Beach was originally named the "Atlantic Beach Casino," meaning a place to come and meet your friends, enjoy the sun, and swim in the beautiful surf.

80 years since its purchase, Atlantic Beach retains its old-fashioned charm that includes a Historical Carousel with an Antique Band Organ!

Throughout the years, however, Atlantic Beach has expanded, and now features kiddie amusement rides, bumper cars, game room, free parking, shower and bath facilities, hot dogs, ice cream, and much much more.
