Colt State Park is often referred to by its visitors as the "gem" of the State Parks System. The entire western border of the park (which is several miles long) opens up and offers beautiful views of Narrangansett Bay. It boasts over 4 miles of bycicle trails through its grounds of 464 acres of groomed fruit trees, carefully nurtured flowering bushes, and trim lawns. It has 10 large playfields, and six large picnic groves which hold over 400 picnic tables.
