The Kayaking program introduces the students to the excitement of quiet water kayaking. Using sit-on-top kayaks, the students are immersed (literally) in the basic kayaking skills. The week begins on campus with lessons in proper boat handling, paddling techniques, and rollover recovery. After this first day, the class will travel to a different location on each of the remaining days, exposing the students to a variety of conditions, from open water on the bay, to inland streams and rivers.
