A bit of a mystery surrounds this historical site. Nobody is quite sure who built it, or where it came from. One of the leading theories concerning this matter suggests that it was built by early Colonial farmers. Yet, another theory states that, due to dating materials found at the site, that the Mill was actually created much earlier than previously belived, in the 15th century. They believe that it was created by visiting Norsemen, who then left the Mill and never returned. The Mill is located inside of Touro Park.
