Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County

Founded in 1974, the Fine Arts Center was intended to be the cultural focus of the county and to serve as the local arts agency and an umbrella organization for affiliate clubs. In 1982-83, additional facility were added including a theatre, dressing rooms, a gallery and office space was constructed on the site. Today, full time staff number six, part time number three and contracted staff numbers vary during the year. Artists and teachers number 20-30 at any given time. Volunteers number in the hundreds.

The Fine Arts Center provides a School Arts program to promote the arts in schools. This art center includes exhibits of equine art and memorabilia, along with periodic theater performances and concerts.
