The Redcliffe Plantation was the home of Governor James Henry Hammond, one of the state's most controversial historical figures. It was last owned by John S. Billings, Hammond's great-grandson and former editor of Time-Life publications, still holds family furniture and some personal effects. Hiking, fishing, and picnicking are also available. Located about 7 miles southeast of North Augusta.
