Sewee Visitor & Environmental Ed. Center

The Sewee Visitor & Environmental Education Center is located in Awendaw, South Carolina. This 9,000 square foot center serves visitors, regional youth, and the local community. The Center offers nature trails, three-dimensional maps of the forest and refuge area, hands-on learning exhibits, a captivating orientation film, indoor and outdoor classrooms, exploratory ponds, a bookstore offering educational materials, and two live animal educational areas. These are all available to creatively educate and inform visitors about the complex and fascinating ecosystems of the South Carolina Low country.
