The Regional Museum was established in 1961 with a grant from the Spartanburg County Foundation. In 1999, the Museum moved to the "Old Belk" building on Main Street in
Spartanburg. The permanent collection includes exhibits on the Pardo Stone, quilts, Camp Wadsworth, the Revolutionary War, Camp Croft, dolls, Civil War, Textile Mills and other topics related to Spartanburg County History.
The Spartanburg County Regional Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until noon and 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The museum is also open Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
