Farm Island Recreation Area

Pierre is a sportsmen's favorite. Many hunters and fishermen come to this area for its walleye fishing and Canada goose hunting. Farm Island has miles of shoreline fishing and a modern boat launch provides quick access to the Missouri River.

Farm Island is located in the heart of this sports activity, making it an ideal place to set up camp.

The park's heated camping cabin is especially popular when the weather turns cold. Two campgrounds offer 90 sites with 45 having electricity available.

Farm Island Recreation Area is located four miles east of Pierre, off Hwy 34.
