Once used for storing blasting powder and bootleg liquor, the original Powder House was a small building made out of large logs and covered with a tin roof. Today's facilities include a heated pool, restaurant, gift shop, and playground. Menu includes beef and buffalo steaks, trout, gourmet chicken, seafood, desserts, cocktails, wines, and beers.
The Lodge is centrally located to many area attractions. The nightly lighting ceremony at Mount Rushmore is a must and is only ten minutes away. One mile from the Powder House, Keystone offers a wide variety of specialty shops and historical attractions.
