Arlington Community Library, serving an area of 1,000 residents, has a collection of 9,600 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 35 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $1,320. Patrons make 520 visits annually, and check out materials 2,600 times. Forty percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
