Stretch out, relax and enjoy the freedom of Danielson Provincial Park, where the good times come naturally. Their big attraction is naturally LAKE DIEFENBAKER . The park provides access to the lakes north end. Water sport possibilities are just about endless. Enjoy their large sandy beaches and excellent fishing. Danielson owes its existence to Gardiner Dam, which in the mid 60's gave birth to Lake Diefenbaker, one of the finest bodies of freshwater on the prairies. This recreation park, officially opened in 1971, spans both shores of Lake Diefenbaker, adjacent to the dam. Stop by the Visitor Centre on the west side of the dam, which includes extensive interpretive exhibits of the area.
