This outstanding Hotel - lying on the most favourable site in Whiting Bay - was built in 1904 by a seafaring captain as a quiet retreat from his frequent trips to Argentina. It overlooks Holy Island, the Ayrshire Coast and, of course, the Clyde. During the last years it underwent thorough refurbishings to bring it to a modern well-equipped hotel to meet all of todays requirements and has now been honoured with the Scottish Tourist Board Rating of 3 Star Hotel. They offer every room with en-suite facilities colour television, radio-alarm-clock hair-dryer, tea/coffee maker. Today the hotel is owned by Assya and Bruno Baumgartner, originally from Switzerland.
