Doune is home to 14th-century castle owned since the 16th-century by the Earls of Moray. Another attraction in Doune is the present earl's collection of cars housed in the Doune Motor Museum. 60 acres of shrubs and woodland pathways provide a scenic view at the adjacent Doune Park Gardens. Doune is located 8 miles north of Stirling.
