Columbia is located in
Maury County (of which it is the county seat) approximately 45 miles south of
Nashville between Spring Hill and Ridley along US Highway 43 near
Duck River. Columbia currently has a population of 33,055.
There are many parks and recreational activities including 2 bowling alleys, roller skating rink, etc. For those who enjoy historical home sites, the ancestral home of the eleventh President of the United States, James K. Polk, is located two blocks from the center of town.
