Founded in 1911, this is a public institution that is part of the States University and Community College System of Tennessee. ETSUs undergraduate and graduate programs stress the liberal arts, business, art, fine arts, professional training, music, teacher preparation, technical studies and health science. There are 7 undergraduate and 2 graduate schools. The 366 acre campus is in a small town 90 miles northeast of
Knoxville and 130 miles southwest of Roanoke Virginia. Including residence halls, there are 64 buildings.
Active fraternities and sororities as well as 215 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours of the campus are also available.
