Exhibits focus on the first century of Bell County history, from 1850 to 1950. The Miriam A Ferguson Collection chronicles life and times of the first female governor of Texas. Rotating displays feature various aspects of rural and city life. The museum is housed in a restored beaux-arts style Carnegie building, constructed as a library in 1904.
