The Texas Military Forces Museum is located in Building 6 on Camp Mabry in Austin. It is the only museum in the nation devoted to the history of the military forces of the State of Texas. The museum has an extensive library and archives with over 8,000 volumes relating to Texas and world military history. The reading room is open to all visitors. The staff gives talks and demonstrations on Texas military history to school children and civic organizations.
