Located 1.5 miles south on US 77, then .2 miles west on Spur 92. A tomb, marked by a memorial shaft, contains the bodies of men murdered by Mexicans in the 1842 Dawson Massacre and the bodies of members of the ill-fated Mier Expedition of 1843. Displays depict early methods of brewing beer at this former brewery, one of the first in Texas. A self-guiding interpretive trail winds through both historic sites, passing a scenic bluff that overlooks the
Colorado River. Picnic facilities are available.
