Sutton County Library

Sutton County Library, serving an area of 4,000 residents, has a collection of 15,400 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 2,200 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as . Internet terminals are available for use by the general public.

Staffing consists of one employee, including one fully accredited librarian, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $7,500. Patrons make 5,800 visits annually, and check out materials 9,600 times. Forty-two percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
