Sam Rayburn Library and Museum

Was established to preserve books, papers and historical mementos collected by Speaker of the House Rayburn during a half-century of public service, and to provide a place for study and research. A replica of the speaker's office at the United Staes Capitol contains the silver and crystal chandeleir that hung in the White House from the terms of President Ulysses S. Grant to those of Theodore Roosevelt.
