South of Post on FM 669 reaches the edge of the Texas Plains called the Estacado Llano which are a southernmost extension of the Great Plains in immensity beyond comprehension sweeping 1,600 miles deep into Canada through the heartland of America. Highway descends the abrupt edge where plains end and travels through steep colorful canyons and cliffs.
