Contains five main viewing areas. The Western collection chronicles the land, wildlife and people of the West. Among the exhibits are Audubon prints, works by members of the Taos Society of Artists and bronzes by Frederic Remington and Charles Russell. The American Indian Collection consists mostly of items crafted by tribes of the Great Plains and the Southwest. Also displayed are Steuben crystal and porcelains by Dorothy Doughty.

Four days of fun include family entertainment, Cajun and Country music, food, cooking contests, arts and crafts, and a parade. Pepper Festival St Martinville LA September14-15 This annual festival, usually taking place on the third Sunday of October, celebrates the pepper industry in Louisiana.
