USS Lexington Museum On The Bay |
A floating naval museum, features tours of the wartime aircraft carrier commissioned in 1943. Because the ship was navy blue and was reported sunk no less than four times during World War II, it was nicknamed "The Blue Ghost" by the Japenese. Self guiding tour of the 910-foot carrier offers views of the flight deck, bridge, sick bay, captain's quarters and hanger deck, complete with several planes and engines.
