Park City YURTS

Search Park City Utah

A Yurt is a "portable" structure much like those used by nomadic tribes in Mongolia over 2000 years ago. The domed, tent-like structure sits on top of a portable wooden frame to create an efficient shelter that is environmentally friendly. The proprietors of Park City Yurts are an exceedingly creative lot, and it is quite difficult to summarize what sort of adventures people pay them to create. So let me tantalize you by saying that it often involves ski dating, two people, one pair of skis, yurt dining, a gondola ride, great conversation, and oodles of fun. They can do parties, weddings and private couple get togethers.

For that reason, many residents of the Valley wanted to reestablish their Welsh roots. In 2005, after a 90 year break, this annual cultural event, now called the Malad Valley Welsh Festival, once again became a reality.
