Price is the seat of
Carbon County in central Utah. It is found on US 6/191 near
Wellington, on the Price River. It is surrounded by the Manti-La Sal, Fishlake, and Ashley National Forests. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 8,834, an increase of 122 since 1990.
