The park is located forty miles east of Salt Lake City. Opportunities for incredible fishing, waterskiing and swimming are available at the Rockport Reservoir. A total of eight campgrounds, including both primitive and developed sites, are offered as well as modern bathrooms, vault toilets, showers, waste disposal and utility hookups. Picnicking facilities and a group-use pavilion are available. Winter recreation within the park includes cross country skiing and ice fishing. The 550-acre park is open year-round.

Malad Valley Welsh Festival Malad City ID June28-July1 Today, Malad Valley has the largest per capita concentration of people of Welsh ancestry outside the country of Wales itself. For that reason, many residents of the Valley wanted to reestablish their Welsh roots. In 2005, after a 90 year break, this annual cultural event, now called the Malad Valley Welsh Festival, once again became a reality.
