The Salt Lake Roasting Company opened in 1981; it's cafe has provided a friendly atmosphere for study between classes, leisurely luncheons with a friend, or as an after theatre rendezvous. Great coffee, menu selection, desserts and conversation are shared by diverse patrons. The two-story cafe boasts a casual decor with plenty of natural woods highlighted with topographical maps, coffee-roasting machinery and South American tapestries. Guests sip lattes indoors at wooden tables and the bar or, in warm weather, outside on the tree-sheltered patio. Late hours and patio seating make this a popular spot for a post-dinner coffee.
