American Rover Tall Sailing Ship Cruises

Cruises depart from the Waterside in Norfolk. Guests can work the sails, take a turn at the helm or just relax aboard the 135-foot-long, three-masted topsail schooner as it cruises the historic Hampton Roads harbor. The ship is modeled after the cargo schooners that plied the waters of Chesapeake Bay during the 1800s. Narrated two-hour harbor and 3-hour naval base tours are offered; sunset cruises are and food is available. Two-hour cruises depart daily at 3pm (also 11am Wednesday-Sunday), mid-May to mid-September; daily at 3pm (also Friday-Sunday 6:30pm), mid-April to mid-May.
