4,493 acre Douthat State Park is on the National Register of Historic Places and was one of the original six Virginia State Parks to open in 1936. 50 acre Douthat Lake offers swimming, boating and seasonal trout fishing for the abundant planted trout. Cabins, tent sites and a lodge are available to those wishing to camp at this location.
