Historic White's Mill

This functioning gristmill, originally built in 1797, was destroyed by Union troops during the Civil War and rebuilt in 1866. The four-story structure includes a stone dam, a wooden sluice and some of the original grinding stones imported from France. The mill is used today to grind cornmeal. Guided tours are available by reservation. Call for hours of operation; closed major holidays.
