Luray

Luray is located in Page County, of which it is the county seat, 60 miles north of Charlottesville between Oak Hill and Stanley along Highway 211 in the Central Region of the state. Luray is situated at the base of Massanutten Mountain along the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. Luray's picturesque setting has made it a popular resort; among its facilities are a championship golf course and tennis courts. Developed recreational areas are also available north and west of town in George Washington and Jefferson National Forests and in Shenandoa National Park. Luray is located north of Charlottesville, on Hwy 211; Luray Caverns are nearby.
