This is one of the largest of its kind in the South. Its collections range from ancient to contemporary art including paintings, prints, jewelry, decorative arts and sculpture. Of interest are the Faberge jeweled objects, including five Russian Imperial Easter eggs, and a life-sized marble statue dating from the first century of the Roman emperor Caligula. The museum features fine collections of British sporting art, French impressionist and post-impressionist art; art nouveau; art deco and furniture; and more.
