Built in 1846 and 1855. The Greek Revival house, formerly the Manse for the
Staunton Presbyterian Church is where the Reverend Joseph Wilson lived when his son was born in 1856. The home is restored to depict Wilson's family life in the
Shenandoah Valley before the Civil War and features period furniture, family memorabilia and household items. The museum, adjacent to the birthplace in a renovated mansion, features seven galleries depicting Wilson's life. Highlights include Wilson's 1919 Pierce-Arrow limousine; children's activities, and an extensive Victorian garden with walkways and gazebos.
