Charlotte Amalie once served as the capital of Denmark's outpost in the Caribbean until 1917. Not too large of a town, you can easily walk around this historic place in an hour. Expect lots of hills to cover whether your driving or walking, but benches have been placed all over the city to rest sore feet.
