The homestead was the last home of Ethan Allen, a Revolutionary War hero and leader of the Green Mountain Boys. It encompasses a timber frame house and several acres of land traversed by hiking trails. The homestead is just a short drive from downtown Burlington, and offers hands-on history, guided tours, a multimedia show and museum exhibits. Picnicking is permitted.
