City Map with Features
Jay Peak receives more natural snow than any ski center in the East with an annual average of 318 inches, compared to 254 inches at Killington. It boasts at least 16 glade skiing runs -- the most in the East -- the longest, a one-and-a-quarter mile Everglade run with numerous natural features to master. They also are outside the ski-patrolled area and skiers tackling them are responsible for their own actions. The resort recommends groups of three or more experts skiing together. Other glade trails include the Staircase and Valhalla trails, the steepest on the mountain, the natural half pipe in Canyonland and -- most challenging -- the Jay Peak Face Chutes.
