The Middlebury College Museum of Art houses an impressive collection of several thousand objects, ranging from antiquities through contemporary art. Emphasis is placed upon photography, 19th century European and American sculpture, and contemporary prints. Traveling exhbits are showcased throughout the year in the Christian A. Johnson Memorial Gallery.

The museum runs and sponsors events, such as lectures, films and gallery discussions. Admission is free, and families are invited to join in art events throughout the year. Workshops also are offered throughout the year. Cafes and parking are located nearby.
