Albany Town Library, serving an area of 840 residents, has a collection of 3,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 140 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 230 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $1,200. Patrons make 520 visits annually, and check out materials 6,000 times. Twenty-seven percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
