Putney is located in
Windham County, 10 miles north of
Brattleboro between
Bellows Falls and West Chesterfield. It lies along Interstate 91 on the banks of the Connecticut River near Landmark College.
Putney was the home of Free Love in 1838 via the Perfectionist Society.
