Aberdeen is a Scottish name, which means "confluence of two rivers." Aberdeen is located in
Grays Harbor County west of Montesano along Highway 12 on the banks of the Chehalis and Wishkah rivers.
Hoquiam adjoins Aberdeen on the west side. The city was incorporated in 1889.
