Edmonds Washington

Edmonds, Washington (Cities) image Legend has it that when logger George Brackett petitioned to establish the town of Edmonds in 1890, he added the names of his two oxen to the list to achieve the required number of petitioners. He named the town for Vermont Senator George Franklin Edmunds, but misspelled the name.

Edmonds' Puget Sound waterfront has beaches, a marina and public fishing pier and a view of the Olympic Mountains in the distance. Brackett's Landing Beach, just north of the Ferry Dock, includes Edmonds Underwater Park for scuba diving. Edmonds is part of the Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA metro area.
