Federal Way, Washington (Cities) image

The large suburban community of Federal Way is part of the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area in southern King County, along Interstate 5. Its name comes from the federal highway built through the area in 1929. It instantly became one of the state's largest cities when it was incorporated in 1990. Federal Way is close to Seattle Tacoma International Airport and the ports of both Tacoma and Seattle.

Federal Way is part of the Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA metro area.
