Grays Harbor Historical Seaport

A former shipyard and lumber mill, the seaport has exhibits about the shipbuilding process and a replica of Captain Robert Gray's ship, the Columbia Rediviva, on which he explored the Northwest Coast and established the U.S. claim to the Oregon country in 1792.

The ship pictured is the Lady Washington, the ship that accompanied the Columbia Rediviva up the West Coast on Captain Gray's first trip.
