Considered by many to be one of the Northwest's premier camping areas, the 411-acre Silver Lake Park encompasses a former private resort, an early-day homestead and an old logging site. Much activity centers around the lake itself, where quiet bays with lily pads and cattails, open stretches of water and sand beaches invite boating, fishing, picnicking, and swimming. There is also a play area for children.With views of the lake on three sides, the park's Day Lodge serves as the information center for the park and includes a seasonal food concession, tackle shop, and boat rentals. Horseback enthusiasts love the park for its several miles of riding trails, stables, and horse-trailer parking. Camping areas in the park accommodate tents, trails and RVs with individual and group campsites. In addition, six rustic cabins can be rented year-round.
